Chester is a London based composer and musician who specialises in film music and music for media. Writing for all genres he works with both orchestral and electronic music often blending the two, creating compositions with an eclectic palette. 


Chester is studying a Bachelor of Music degree in film music composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where he has taken part in many live projects which include music for Illuminated River, a light installation across all the bridges in London, writing a piece for the Guildhall Bauhaus Band, and composing music to film for The Barbican, London. Chester was also selected to compose a special piece to celebrate 30 years of the European Bank of Regeneration and Development.

Chester has a passion for the environment and environmental concerns and was recently commissioned by The Essex Climate Commission to write an anthem for climate action in Essex to mark the importance of a stable, habitable and precious climate. He has also written music for the Living Book, an immersive experience exploring the long term consequences of climate change in a virtual world.

Chester has also collaborated with students from the London Film AcademyMet Film School and Maryland Institute College of Art, writing scores for film shorts and animation. He also writes music for video production companies including the showreel for award winning AQ2, and more recently has been involved in OrchestRAM a collaboration with RAM Records.

Chester is a member of 'Sum of All Music', a collaboration of musicians and composers from around the world creating original compositions, open-space soundscaping and soundtrack releases, founded by award winning composer, Joseph Metcalfe.
